FIGHTING
- REASONS: Fighting can take place for many reasons. You may choose to fight another character for control of land, control of females, access to food, or other reasons.
- WHERE: Fighting can take place anywhere. Generally, characters don't go out of their way to pick a fight, so it's rare to see characters from different territories fighting one another, unless both live on or near a boundary.
- PROCEDURE: The general standard is that each character is allowed 3 attacks and 2 dodges. That means your character can attempt to attack the other character 3 times, and out of those 3 times, the other character can only dodge twice. In reverse, the other character can attack yours 3 times, and you can only dodge twice. If you choose to set up a different number of amounts, you just need to make sure your fighting partner agrees to whatever standards you set.
- POWER: You DO have some power when it comes to fighting. You CAN be as specific in an attack as to say where you hit the other character. For example: "He sunk his fangs into the other brute's neck" is okay. You cannot, however, determine the severity of the attack or damage done. The other character could respond to the above statement by deciding that there was only a small scrape, or they could decide it was a life-ending blow.
- FORM: Once your fight is COMPLETE, the fight initiator should fill out the judging form. If you post this before the fight is complete, it will be ignored.
- GRADING: Fights are judged for a few things. First off is the realism of the fight itself, followed by the quality of your threads within the fight. Lengthy posts do not necessarily mean you will score higher. Fights happen quickly and attacks and dodges typically happen within seconds. Long, drawn out posts are not necessarily realistic or good fighting tactics. Once a winner is chosen, staff will also determine the injuries sustained by both parties involved, if any.
