Cross AGE: Six SEX: Male | [bg=cccfd8][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,225]COLOR(S): Buckskin EYE COLOR: Brown HEIGHT, WEIGHT: 16 hh, 1100 lb MARKINGS: Stripe, fore socks, hind stocking and coronet MUTATIONS: None | [bg=7d828d][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=height,5][cs=2] | [bg=cccfd8][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2]PERSONA: Where do you even begin? There are so many facets to this stallion's personality it would take years to point them all out.
At the core, Vitalis is a kind soul and caring stallion. He is very strict with his herd, but does so to keep things orderly. Low ranked or high, he wants everyone to eat, sleep, and be merry. Though he is an insane flirt, he only gets serious with mares that possess more virtues than beauty. In selecting mares for his herd, he looks for those with strength of character, determination, and intelligence - all traits he himself possesses.
Vi really cannot stand other stallions. He hates violent conflict, but isn't afraid to run his mouth, and believes he can talk his way out of any situation. If not, his superior intelligence will surely allow him to outsmart them. Did I mention he can be quite vain and prideful? He knows he has both brains and beauty, and isn't afraid to flaunt either.
Though he generally prefers to let lower ranks in his herd deal with the dirty work, he can be aggressive if you really push his buttons. Questioning his intelligence is a surefire way to set him off and you'll know you've done so when you feel a resounding kick to the ribs. However, brawn seems to be the one thing he doesn't possess. His body is a little lanky and a bit awkward. He's not designed for speed and agility, nor does he have the mass to harness great strength. In a true fight, he's at a bit of a disadvantage.
This is perhaps the only reason he tolerates any stallions in his herd to begin with. He looks for comrades who are brawny, but lacking brain. Essentially, cronies who will follow his beck and call without question. If you're a stallion of any other sort, don't expect him to take you in. | [bg=7d828d][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=height,5][cs=2] | [bg=cccfd8][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2]HISTORY: Vitalis really lived the easy life as a young colt. He was the the male heir to his father's herd and was raised to become a leader. His father taught him everything he knew and trusted Vi with the innermost secrets of the herd. Vi never had to do without, thanks to being the chosen heir. If food was scarce, he was one of the first to get to eat. He was also admired by the young fillies, partially due to his beautiful coat and partially due to his position of power.
His father sensed his growing vanity and tried to steer him onto another path. But Vi ignored the well-intentioned advice and began spending more and more time showing off for the ladies. Eventually he learned the hard way that not every filly is worth her keep, and changed his tactics a bit. Though he's more selective now, he will probably never truly grow out of his flirtatious behavior and is unlikely to have a long term commitment. Vi's story doesn't stop there though. As he grew older he also became power hungry. He wanted his father to relinquish more control. Though his father saw Vi's inner strengths, he also saw a foolish young stallion who wasn't yet fit to lead the herd. Vitalis grew annoyed at constantly being reminded of his youthfulness, and eventually couldn't handle it any longer. He had a fight with his father, which resulted in a humiliating defeat. His father, though lacking beauty, was a skilled and cunning fighter. Vi was so upset after losing the fight that he left the herd, despite his father's attempts to right the situation.
He traveled alone for a year or so, occasionally tagging along with rouge mares. He sired three foals, all fillies, but didn't stick around to raise them. A year ago, he wound up back with his father's herd by accident. It turns out his father had moved the herd around, looking for food. He wasn't old, but had become strangely ill. Rumors were that he had grazed on tainted soil and the toxins within were destroying his body. He begged Vitalis to stay with the herd and protect them, knowing his death was imminent. Vitalis agreed, and felt all his plans were finally falling into place.
But then his father started getting better...sort of. He wasn't feeling as sick anymore, but felt invigorated and, if possible, stronger and quicker than he'd been before. His hooves began to change, growing claws, of a sort. Vitalis was terrified, and realized his one chance at success was fading before his eyes. The rest of the herd hadn't been near his father, who had wanted to die in peace and quiet. They didn't know he was getting better, and Vi saw it as his only chance. He acted without thinking, killing his father one night when he wasn't expecting it. He then told the herd that his father had been in so much pain he had begged Vitalis to take his life before it got any worse. Though some in the herd had their doubts, Vitalis took over. Anyone who dared to cross him or question his morals was quickly shunned and told not to return.
His herd has dwindled, and now he knows it is time to regain strength of numbers. He is looking for the brightest, fastest, and strongest mares to bear his offspring. Only once he has the most feared (and envied) herd around will he be satisfied and truly content in the security of his life. | [bg=000000][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=height,5][cs=2] | [bg=045344][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2] ISSALYN | [bg=000000][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=height,5][cs=2] | [bg=cccfd8][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2] ALSO PLAYS: Zelo PASSWORD: -- SAMPLE:
