[bg=cccfd8][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2] PERSONA: gwen could have been such a sweet soul. she could have been such a sweetheart with the love of everyone in her heart. she used to be one of those equines that just wanted to make everyone happy and enjoy life. she used to be one of those that could make anyone feel good. but no. caena is not that anymore. she hasn't been since she was a young foal. after having such a grave encounter with one of the other foals in her herd, gwen has been the complete opposite. the young yearling attracted her after inviting him to play with her. but instead of playing, he attacked her as if she was some vermin. since that day, gwen has feared the male race. she hides in the shadows and fears talking to the stallions. she believes that if she says the wrong thing or does something wrong, she will be attacked again, and she doesn't think this time she will be so lucky. gwen is quiet and keeps to herself. she doesn't like being around stallions and will hide behind others to keep away from them. her tones are always nervous and shy and she is constantly on the look out for anyone or anything sneaking around her. she is skittish and afraid that one day, another stallion will attack her for no reason. gwen tries to be a normal mare, but it is hard when the scars of her past linger on her hide and constantly remind her of the day she was attacked. beaten to a pulp, caena barely pulled through. .

[bg=cccfd8][atrb=border,0,true][cs=2] HISTORY: gwen was born to the beta stallion, the second in charge to the lead of her home herd. her mother was just the average mare whom was getting on the older side. gwen is actually the last foal her mother carried. the birth took a lot out of the aged mare. she survived but was weak as gwen grew. she was a happy filly and very much a daddies girl. her father adored her. gwen was a beautiful little filly growing up and very full of life. but that all ended.. after having such a grave encounter with one of the other foals in her herd, gwen has been the complete opposite. the young yearling attacked her after inviting him to play with her. but instead of playing, he attacked her as if she was some vermin. he had to be yanked from her as he beat her, injuying her badly. she is missing half of her ear. she has many many scars covering her body. gwen now has a very bad tolerance for illnesses and can get very easily sick. since that day, gwen has feared the male race. she hides in the shadows and fears talking to the stallions. she believes that if she says the wrong thing or does something wrong, she will be attacked again, and she doesn't think this time she will be so lucky.

Night was not something she looked forward to. She looked forward to the light creeping over the horizon in the morning. Shadows began to cast their mark among the trees, creating monsters in the night. In the dark, everything looked so dangerous. Tree branches reached out to grab her from time to time, the skittish mare jumping, flinching away from the fingers grabbing hard at her tail. she yanked hard at her tail, pulling it from its grasp and she turned to stare at the bush. "It's just a bush. Nothing else. It's just a bush. Just a bush." The mare began to tell herself in her mind. She tried hard to convince herself that indeed it was just a bush. However, it did not make it any less terrifying. Caena as she was called wasn't really sure what had possessed her to make her way through the thick dense trees but at the time, it sounded like a good idea. That is, until she found herself lost amongst them. It seemed like a harmless idea at the time, with the rays of sunlight peaking through the canopys, but now, she was seeing monsters in every direction and she cursed herself under her breath as she made her way slowly through the bushes. Her ears swiveled upon her crania, the one nearling missing ear just a little stub as it moved around. Sounds were muffled in that ear which made her even more cautious of her movements and decisions. That nearly life changing day as a child still haunted her to this day. Never agian will her days be normal. She was forever scarred. The sound of water crashing filled her one good ear and was muffled in the other. She knew there was water near by but was not sure how to get there. The echos filled the air and she wasn't sure to which direction to take. However, just as soon as she was about to make her decision and make her way to the right, a loud crack from behind her startled her and she whinnied loudly in terror and darted off towards the left. Her stout gyspy vanner x paint x warmblood body was lurched through the trees, feathers ladden hear hooves fluttered. Her dual toned eyes scanned quickly the area in front of her. Branches reached for her, tearing at her skin as she thudded towards the unknown. She soon slowed, her lungs unable to tolerate the running any longer. Eyes darted around, her breathing labored. The darkness enstilled her. It was quiet, all except the water which was now louder and surrounded her. She took in a slow deep breath, to fill her lungs but to also calm herself. Her heart was racing and her muscles twitched. Caena only wished to reach the water and get her fill of the cool liquid. Her throat burned for it. She pushed herself forward, she knew she was close now. The branches attacked her legs again but after a while the touch numbed her. Her mind had drifted. Thoughts of her home haunted her yet calmed her. The familiarity of home was what she missed. The soft touch of her father comforting her. He was the only one of the male species she allowed to do so. Caena knew he would not hurt her. But anyone else, well, she could not be so certain. She no longer engaged in coversation with males. The last time she did so got her into the mess she was in now. Caena was in some sort of trance. Her limbs continued to move her through the darkness however mind was not in such a place. The thoughts of her father had taken her mind far away. Far away to a place she wished was not so tainted with the horrible memories of the one that changed her life forever. He was such a handsome colt. She would never admit now that when she was young, she had such a crush on the young colt. Her filly anticks were get him to play with her. Get him to notice her instead of the others. But that was far from what had actually happened and now her pelt was scarred forever with the memories of that day. She could not longer hear well out of her right ear and her health would never be the same..
