CREATION
- AMOUNT: You start out with 3 free creation credits. This means you initially have a maximum of 3 characters. (Password: babyblues)
BUYING: You may create more characters if you purchase them from the shop. These are purchased using Gems, which can be earned through posting and contests. NORMAL: All created characters must be "normal" unless other traits are purchased. That means your character can ONLY be one of the 3 main species of the site and must be naturally colored (including eyes), with no mutations or odd traits. MUTATIONS: Mutations and odd traits as well as unnatural coloring can be purchased in the shop using Gems. These can be purchased and applied to any of your 3 original characters if you choose to do so. ACTIVITY: You should try to post with each character at least once a week. If you are still looking for a plot for a character, that is an exception. But if you are actively involved in threads, you should reply in a punctual manner. If you cannot, you will not be allowed to create additional characters until your activity resumes OR you choose to get rid of some characters you already have. LIMIT EXCEPTIONS: The exception to the limit is if you are adopting a pup/foal that is being born to another character (or one of your own). You may adopt these for free, but cannot add mutations or odd colors to them unless they are born with those traits. This should encourage people to get more involved in each others plots and packs/herds, which will help keep things more active.
TYPES OF ANIMALS
- SPECIES: As I'm sure you have read by now, Aplidium is made up of 3 main species - equines, canines, and vulpine. These are the only type of characters that can be created unless you purchase something special from the shop, however, they are not the only creatures that exist within the lands.
GENERIC CHARACTERS: You may bring generic characters into your threads to assist as needed. This includes characters that act as prey for your character who is hunting. If you'd prefer, someone else can also act as a predator or prey to your character. In these cases, a character application is not required, as these characters are only temporary. When using them, just make sure you have researched their traits to utilize them as realistically as possible. (A Polar Bear is not going to be found anywhere on this continent.) PETS: Characters may not have long term "pets" or companions of any sort. If you intend to keep a friend with them, it must be registered as an official character by you or someone else. Chasing a bird or rabbit (in the case of generic characters) is different than having a constant companion who has a name, personality, etc.
